DIY Herb & Succulent Garden with Victoria Smith

Writer's picture: Dunsmuir HardwareDunsmuir Hardware

Victoria Smith is an LA-based design and lifestyle blogger focusing on bohemian modern style. Follow her as she applies her keen eye for design and shows you step-by-step how to make a sophisticated succulent garden in no time at all.

Supplies

  • Planters

  • Soil

  • Small Shovel

  • Herbs

  • Succulents

  • Handy Garden Gloves

Step 1 - Choose your succulent. Step 2 - Fill the planter about ¾ of the way with good soil. Plant you succulent, leaving room for other plants. Step 3 - Then choose your herb, such as Sage (which is great for cooking). Add it to the pot. Step 4 - Add a few more small succulents. Fill in the pot with soil and give your herbs & succulents some space. They’ll grow quickly so don’t overplant.

Step 5 - Give your plant some water. You won’t have to water often. Succulents hold water, so just water when herbs look a little limp or the soil looks dry. Step 6 - Voila – an instant herb & succulent garden made very easily and affordably! And you’ve got fresh herbs for cooking at the ready! Photo Credit: HelloSociety Influencer Victoria Smith
